24/7 Animal Welfare Workshop at ABMA
17/05/15 11:12
The first 24/7 Animal Welfare Workshop was held at the Education and Research Workshop on the 18th of April 2015, during the ABMA Conference in Denmark.
The workshop had different components covering animal welfare aspects, considering life in the wild and in captivity, different developmental stages, behaviour, sensory systems, and major life events, as well as considering 14 welfare assessment criteria and coming up with action points.
The participants indicated on which species they wanted to work during the workshop, and groups varying from fish, reptiles, dogs, lions, snakes, birds, giraffes, animals in shows, primates and many more where represented in this interactive workshop.
Lots of great discussions and questions arose in the different groups!
Thank you all for letting us review the workshop outcomes of all the groups and we will share with you soon.
A huge thank you to The ABMA for hosting this workshop!

Thank you Gary Wilson & Annette Pedersen for the photos!
